Definition of the Jordan Tourism Board
The Jordan Tourism Board was established in 1998 as an institution with administrative and financial independence,
under a system aimed at assuming and unifying the tourism promotion and marketing operations of the Kingdom,
and working to create demand for the Jordanian tourism product,
as tourism promotion has become an urgent necessity in light of the increasing intensity of competition among countries and the growing economic importance of the tourism sector.
As part of its marketing plan, the Jordan Tourism Board designs and implements an integrated program for international promotion,
whose activities include representation, trade exhibitions, workshops, roadshows, familiarization visits, the production and distribution of media materials,
and public relations, in order to promote the Jordanian tourism product as a destination for cultural, natural, religious, adventure, and recreational tourism,
as well as a destination for meetings and events, in addition to medical and educational tourism.
