Students who hold the Jordanian General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi) or its equivalent from abroad are allowed to enroll in higher education institutions through the portal of public and private universities or intermediate community colleges based on their grades.
Regarding postgraduate studies, a student wishing to join a master's program must hold a bachelor's degree. Similarly, a student wishing to join a doctoral program must hold a master's degree.
In addition, students applying for postgraduate programs are required to provide proof of passing a foreign language proficiency test (TOEFL, IELTS, French, German, or Spanish). If the student does not provide proof of passing such a test, they may study a preparatory English program at the university they are accepted into, consisting of six credit hours, and must achieve the required grades for those hours according to their chosen major during the first semester of enrollment.
