Health Care in Jordan
Jordan has an advanced health care system. Government figures have put total health spending in 2015 at some 8.4 percent of gross domestic product GDP. Jordan was ranked by the World Bank to be the number one healthcare services provider in the region and among the top 5 in the world, as well as being the top medical tourism destination in the Middle East and North Africa.
The country’s health care system is divided between public and private centers. As of 2018, there are 113 hospitals in Jordan, out of which 63 are private hospitals. The total number of beds sum up to around 14700.
